Marializ Is on a mission to build community through Language and Inclusion

Marializ serves as the Multilingual Liaison at Skagit Gleaners, where she supports bilingual services and migrant programming. Her role helps the organization better connect with and serve the diverse communities of Skagit County. With a passion for language, culture, and inclusion, Marializ works to ensure that everyone who walks through Skagit Gleaners' doors feels welcome, heard, and supported.

Outside of work, she enjoys going on long walks, playing volleyball with friends, and watching the sunset whenever she can. Marializ was born in Mount Vernon, Washington, but was raised in Oaxaca, Mexico until the age of six, when she returned to Mount Vernon. Her first and primary language was Mixteco, and she later learned Spanish and English while attending school.

Marializ brings a warm, approachable energy to everything she does, and she’s always looking for ways to connect with others and make a difference.
