Morgan is passionate about understanding food systems and policy driven food insecurity. She devotes her work to safeguard a healthy, just, and sustainable community. Her interests include education, non-profit structures, agriculture, and creating equitable solutions to disparities faced by migrant workers.
Morgan holds leadership roles with various organizations in the community. She has been the Executive Director for Skagit Gleaners since 2019 and currently serves on the Association of Gleaning Organizations' national board. She is an appointed member of the City of Mount Vernon Planning Commission. Morgan also serves on the Curriculum Development Committee for Leadership Skagit, in collaboration with Skagit Valley College and the Economic Development Alliance of Skagit County. She holds a bachelor's degree in Human Services from Western Washington University and a master's degree in Public Administration from Seattle University with a concentration in both non-profit and government systems. Her current research includes community driven food systems, sustainable agriculture, and economic sovereignty among migrant farm work labor. Morgan loves to read and write and enjoys traveling traveling and kayaking with her family. She is a proud mother a young daughter.
