Office Manager & Volunteer Coordinator
Kaycie Nelson is originally from Nevada but moved to Skagit County early in her childhood. She grew up going to school in Burlington, grades K-12. As the youngest of 4 in a strong Christian family, Kaycie was instilled with the values of gratitude, loving & sharing with your neighbor and being financially frugal.
In 2014 Kaycie heard about Skagit Gleaners from a few friends. After getting married, adding another little one to the family and choosing to stay home full time in 2016, the family joined out of necessity in 2017. Over the course of time, volunteering regularly and making great friends, Kaycie felt a sense of value, belonging and pride in being a Gleaner. Skagit Gleaners has been and continues to be such a huge blessing in so many ways to her family. Kaycie is proud to be part of an organization that gives back to the community in such a practical and vital way. In May of 2019 Kaycie was hired on staff as the Office Manager & Volunteer Coordinator. Kaycie’s Hobbies include board games, going on walks/hikes with the family, gardening, makeup, music and watching Marvel & Star Wars movies!
